This section of the web page is dedicated to one of our favorite independent film-makers, Jeff Vilencia. Jeff has made quite a few movies and short subjects that we have had the pleasure to enjoy and review. Jeff has also been seen on several television shows and has been nominated for an Academy Award. An avid 78 collector, jazz fan and a great guy. Below you will find information on both Jeff and some of his films. Use the handy navigational bar below to quickly go to the review.

Summer
Vacation
is a romp in art like never before seen. It is a full-length movie by
Jeff Vilencia and Screaming Stoner Video recommends this film to all our
visitors. The film starts out with Jeff being very bored and looking for
some form of entertainment. It then chronicles his summer vacation with
surrealistic imagery and clips of Jeff's own paintings (excellent work,
by the way). From the making of a music video to "illegal bike
riding" this film both entertains and holds the attention like few
movies can. From the "crush-freak" footage (seen below) to the
insane narration, this flick holds its own. If you're tired of having to
select films based on major-motion-picture video chains who censor what
you watch, contact the film-maker himself at squish00@gte.net
for information on how to order this
must-have video. ( |

| At
the Sleazies (1987) is "a festive
frolic through the T&A cult films of the '50s and 60s" done as
a funny spoof on "At the Movies." Your hosts are Rocky and
Electra who guide you through tons of rare trailers for only the
most-obscure films of this generation. They give their views and share
their hopes in only a way that they know how while enjoying clips from
great movies like "Orgy of the Dead" and "Please Don't
Eat My Mother." The archival footage is excellent (and is from
Jeff's own vault) and the filming is very simple, to-the-point and
professional. This film is more of a comedy then anything else but is
worth a place in both your home video library and your heart (gee!).
This 45 minute VHS video tape can be ordered by contacting the
film-maker himself at squish00@gte.net
for more information. ( |

Images
(1994) is a dedication to the shapes that make up our life. The
animation and format of this film make for an interesting journey. The
music is done brilliantly and again, like Jeff's other work, it holds
your attention. You will find yourself being pulled into this
short-subject and wishing you had your favorite mind-altering potion to
aid you on the trip! Don't be put off by this one, philosophy-majors and
stoners alike can appreciate this offering and will find themselves
watching it over and over again! Jeff himself has said, "My films
are short and to the point" and Images happens to be such a film.
Like all other movies found on this page, you can order a copy by
contacting the film-maker himself at squish00@gte.net
for information. While you're at it, why
not pick up a few of Jeff's other excellent videos? ( |
